abstractThe term mastocytosis can be summarized as an accumulation of mast cells without an apparent cause. In the majority of the cases the disease is manifest in the skin and can be diagnosed on clinical suspicion and skin biopsy. Mastocytosis has a wide clinical spectrum and it is not a disease limited to the skin. As cutaneous manifestations of mastocytosis form one of the key features of this rare disease, the dermatological aspects of this disease continue to be relevant.text
