Abstract
PD diagnostic using Oscillating Wave Test System (OWTS) is very powerful measurement and very sensitive measurement. Many parameters can influence the quality of the measurement and several problems can occur during performing PD measurement. In this study, several parameters which can influence the quality of the measurement and problems obtained during performing PD measurements are observed. Guidelines procedures are proposed in order to minimize the effects of these problems and to provide an optimal use of OWTS system for condition assessment of distribution power cables.
