Abstract
[...] In order to throw further light upon the exact nature of this polymer-thiol interaction, it was felt that it would be of interest to carry out a careful study of the role of atmospheric oxygen and other oxidizing agents whioh may be present in Systems of this kind. The work presented in this thesis, therefore, represents a study of these factors in the interaction of polybutadiene and polystyrene with a thiol in an emulsion medium.
