Abstract

A period of devastating war has ended. The identification of the. period that follows must await the passing of time. True and prosperous peace, depressed and stagnant peace amidst want and privation, ar.med peace with the spectre of war hovering ever in the background mark the range of possibilities. The battlefield period of World War II is concluded, the military has passed to public administrators the responsibilities for the conclusion of World War II in the economic sphere.
