Abstract

"It has long been known that there are many ores worked in which a large per cent of silver and gold are continually lost, either in tailings or slimes. As far back as 1848 Dr. Percy suggested the extraction of silver from argentiferous ores, by its conversion into the chloride" – p. 1.
