The present study was undertaken in order to examine the opinions and attitudes which Board Members of Recreation Agencies have of “good citizenship”. A study of the recreation agency and “good citizenship” seems relevant at the present time for a number of reasons. Recreation agencies have, for many years, considered the development of good citizenship as one of their major goals in working with their membership. Most agencies include a statement in their constitutions to the effect that one of the aims of the agency is to promote good citizenship.
