Abstract

A Mobile Adhoc Network MANET plays a vital role in newlineimproving ubiquitous computing MANET is a type of wireless network newlinewhich uses a dynamic environment for network connectivity where the newlinenetwork topology usually changes with time MANETs have a self governing newlineself administering and self configuring architecture This network forms a newlinerandom topology of mobile nodes Due to the lack of infrastructure support newlinerouting in MANETs suffers from various kinds of challenges One of the newlineserious concerns is that MANETs suffer from security problems Because of newlinethe differences that exist between wired networks and MANETs traditional newlinesecurity solutions are not suitable for securing the MANET Hence it is newlinenecessary to develop effective algorithms to provide more security for newlineMANETs newlineThe existing strict layered design foundations such as the Open newlineSystem Interconnection OSI model and Transmission Control newlineProtocol Internet Protocol TCP IP suite are not flexible to manage with the newlinedynamic MANET environment newline newline reference p136-148.
