Abstract

The purpose of this study is aimed to create a blog based on research and theoretical support. This project will research how to start a successful blog that educates their followers; the research on blogs focuses on why consumers use blogs and how internet dependency is growing. The following theories will serve as the theoretical models: social representation, social identity, and impression formation theory. The Casa de Moda blog was compared to two blogs, which are Kate Loves Me and Style Girlfriend. There are two tables to show the differences and similarities between Casa de Moda and the two other fashion blogs. Casa de Moda was also evaluated by Expert One and Expert Two as they are two professionals in the fashion industry. The results demonstrated that men do want to learn about fashion, what women like in regards to their appearance, and the proper manner in which they should groom.Advisors/Committee Members: Cai, Yi (advisor), Williams, Cynthia R (committee member).
