The aim of this thesis was to learn how supply chain works within eyeglasses industry in China. Background research was done on supply chains. There are two questions we should be pay attention to. The one is the definition of supply chains and how they operate in eyeglasses industry and the other is how to manage the supply chain. The target of this thesis was to find as many problem cases as possible and to bring them out in the conclusion part of the thesis. The main purpose of this thesis was to study how the supply chain in Chinese eyeglasses industry functions and how to develop it in the future. This thesis views the development of Chinese eyeglasses industry, and it includes also a typical case from Chinese optical markets and shows the reasons for its success.
