Abstract

I consider the protection of computer programs as one of the most important issues in the modern Intellectual Property legislations, because computer programs are one of the pillars of information society, and its development depends on how protected are this programs worldwide. The comparative study of legislations will help to have a better understanding of the notion of computer programs and consequently, of their protection. Free trade agreements are, at least for some economies, the best way to put their goods and services in stronger markets under competitive and fair rules. For a country like mine, it is of vital importance to sell these goods in the world s biggest markets.
