This thesis intends to refine the role of visual communication in contemporary content for generations of Chinese designers and citizens to cultivate China’s cultural awareness, which relates the contributions of its rich history. Study into this topic reveals the conflicted relationship between China’s globalization and localization to develop an understanding of how a country is able to preserve its cultural identity while continuing to exist in the global forum.
