Non-custodial father???s satisfaction of visitation center services

The research problem is that there is a lack of knowledge of the non-custodial parent???s perspective of the effectiveness of visitation centers and how satisfied they are with these services that were created for their benefit; to foster their relationship with their children. For this study I conducted a pre- and post-design with a single group to assess the satisfaction changes of court mandated visiting fathers participating in the Rally Family Visitation Services agency. Important findings from this study indicated that visiting fathers were more satisfied with services in San Mateo County than in San Francisco County in March of 2015. The responses from the other questions in the survey reflect the higher satisfaction rates in San Mateo and the lower satisfaction rates in San Francisco. This study provides the social work field a start at how to look at a visiting father???s perspective on visitation centers and consider their suggestions on how to improve services so they can foster a safe and healthy relationship between visiting father and child(ren).
