Effect of ladder training on performance related fitnessvariables among Kho kho players;

This study was designed to find out the effects of eight week newlineladder training program on performance related fitness variables such newlineas speed agility flexibility explosive power balance and coordination newlinein Kho Kho players For this purpose twenty four n 24 male Kho newlineKho players studying at affiliated colleges and Departments of newlineManonmaniam Sundaranar University Tirunelveli were selected as newlineparticipants at randomly and the selected participants were divided newlinerandomly into two groups namely experimental and control groups of newlinetwelve n 12 participants each The training period was limited to newlineeight weeks and for three days per week The ladder training is newlineselected as independent variable and speed agility flexibility newlineexplosive power balance and coordination were selected as dependent newlinevariables All the participants were tested two days before and newlineimmediately after the experimental period on the selected dependent newlinevariables The collected data were analyzed statistically by using newlinedependent t test to determine the differences if any among the group newlineprior to and immediately after the training period on selected criterion newlinevariables separately newline newline Advisors/Committee Members: Elango, M.
