Abstract

An analytical approach for multi-period overlapping generations growth models is presented. After the introduction of the model?s general structure an approach to determine an equilibrium is described. This approach is applied to a particular economy. For a lifetime of three periods this approach allows to prove the existence of a unique equilibrium. Finally, the efficiency and optimality criteria are adapted to the multi-period context and applied to the equilibrium.
