Why and how firms address stakeholder issues: Institutional and Organizational Determinants of Corporate Social Responsibility Adoption

Each of the four chapters of this dissertation are devoted to a specific question of consumption/saving behavior under labor income risk using evidence from micro data. In particular, I study questions regarding the measurement of precautionary saving from survey data, and analyze effects of tax and transfer systems—increasing in complexity with each chapter—on saving behavior. Die vorliegende, kumulative Dissertation behandelt vier verschiedene Fragestellungen, die das Konsum- und Sparverhalten privater Haushalte, deren Arbeitseinkommen zufälligen Schwankungen unterliegt, betreffen. Im Einzelnen wurde die Messung von Vorsichtssparen in Befragungsdaten untersucht und Effekte von Steuer- und Transfersystemen — in mit der Kapitelnummer ansteigender Komplexität — auf das Konsum- und Sparverhalten analysiert.
