Abstract

The thesis describes and locates the artists interests within a philosophical and anthropological framework. Through the investigation of select writings by anthropologist Tim Infold, cultural and linguistic anthropologist Keith H. Basso, and philosophers Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari the thesis points to everything outside of our consciousness being bounded by language and useful to people in regards to their development of a deeper understanding of the world.
