Abstract

Mobile Learning Application is an Android application that communicates with a serverusing RESTful API. The application provides a collaborative platform for administrators,instructors, and students, and is used for enrollment of students, managing subjects,classes, grades and keeping track of their upcoming schedules. The application is builtusing a 3-tier architecture and multiple design patterns. The presentation layer of theapplication is developed by Android Studio using Android SDK. The business layer ofthe application is in the .NET, and it is hosted on Amazon EC2. The database layer ismanaged by Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 2014, and it is hosted onAmazon Relational Database Service (RDS).Advisors/Committee Members: Ouyang, Jinsong.
