Abstract

Cormac McCarthys Suttree explores the existential problem of lifes meaning with astonishing depth. Jean-Paul Sartres theory of bad faith, Albert Camuss absurdism, and Martin Heideggers ethic of care provide insight into Cornelius Suttrees struggle to realize his identity and live a fulfilling life.
