Abstract

[pt] Estruturas submarinas utilizadas nos sistemas deproduo de leo e gs offshore so normalmente projetadas parapermanecerem no leito marinho por dcadas. Para a grande maioriadessas estruturas a instalao uma etapa crtica que poderequerer recursos dispendiosos e significativos esforos deengenharia. A descida de estruturas submarinas em regies de ondasmarinhas uma operao complexa, uma vez que envolve aceleraesdesses corpos induzidas pelos movimentos das embarcaes que,associados com os deslocamentos da superfcie do mar, podem levar asignificativas cargas de impacto nessas estruturas durante aentrada na gua. O estgio inicial do impacto durante a entrada nagua tem sido tema de muita pesquisa no ltimo sculo, desde ostrabalhos pioneiros de von Krmn e Wagner sobre a hidrodinmica dopouso de hidroavies. O cenrio do impacto da proa de navios nasuperfcie do mar tambm tem sido objeto de estudo, uma vez quepode levar a danos localizados ou mesmo catastrficos ao casco.Diferentes mtodos numricos tm sido aplicados para anlise desseproblema. A principal contribuio desse trabalho a utilizao domtodo numrico Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) para estimaras cargas de slamming em corpos rgidos durante a entrada na guaconsiderando superfcies em repouso e sob o efeito de ondas.Inicialmente introduzida a fundamentao terica bsica sobre oimpacto hidrodinmico, seguida da descrio do mtodo SPH.Aplicaes do SPH para simular a entrada na gua de corpos rgidosso apresentadas considerando casos em queda livre e com velocidadeconstante e os resultados so comparados com experimentos esimulaes numricas obtidos na literatura. A presena de ondasregulares durante a entrada na gua com velocidade constante tambm considerada. Os resultados numricos obtidos neste trabalhodemonstram a viabilidade da abordagem proposta para estimar ascargas de slamming em estruturas submarinas durante a entrada nagua. [en] Subsea structures employed on offshore oil andgas production systems are commonly designed to be laid on seafloorfor decades. For most of these structures the installation is acritical stage and may require costly resources and significantengineering effort. Lowering subsea structures through the wavezone is a complex operation as it involves accelerations of thesebodies induced by the vessel motion which, associated to the seasurface displacements, may lead to significant impact loads onthese structures during water entry. The initial stage of impactduring water entry has been a subject of many researches over thepast century since the pioneering work of von Krmn and Wagner onthe hydrodynamics of an alighting sea plane. The scenario of impactof the forebody of a ship on the sea surface has also been subjectof studies, as it may cause localized and eventually catastrophicdamage to the hull. Different numerical methods have been appliedto the analysis of this problem.
