Abstract

Bibliography: page 43 "The purpose of this study is to explore the perception of colors in motion, and whatattracts the human eye. Across various mediums, artists naturally explore ways tomaintain the attention of their audience. While there are many ways to lead a viewersfocus, this thesis examines some of those methods beginning with color theory.Designers can set themselves apart when they first have an understanding of colortheory and how to apply it in their work. When this is explored, the process of perceptionand why we see the way we do cannot be ignored. It is not always acknowledged, butthere are visual attractors constantly leading our sight and subconsciously telling uswhere to look. What if these attractors were combined with color theory? What couldhappen? With the research provided, artists can preemptively influence the focus of theviewer, and possibly better support the content of their work."
