This document is an analysis of the all of the piecesprepared for my masters recital which was given on March 12, 2017in Kirmser Hall on the campus of Kansas State University. I haveanalyzed these piece from both a theoretical and historical pointof view. When programming a recital, especially a recital for acollegiate percussion student, it is important to have a diverserepresentation of percussion music to demonstrate a broad knowledgeof music and technical ability.Advisors/Committee Members: Kurt R.
