Abstract
This document provides biographical information for Higdon and Lowell as well as a discussion of Higdons compositional style. It also includes a performance analysis of Higdons musical setting of Lowells poetry in the chamber work Love Sweet. Information is drawn from published materials, an interview with the composer, and an analysis of the score.
