La dimension cosmologique des enseignements d'Ibn al-ʿArabī (m. 638/1240) est un phénomène désormais bien connu des spécialistes de l'œuvre du maître d'origine andalouse. Émaillée d'éléments cosmologiques, son œuvre esquisse les étapes de la genèse universelle en une totalité organisée et étaye, ainsi, les principes d'un édifice cosmologique complexe et difficile d'accès, dont l'homme, fin ultime et raison d'être du monde, constitue la clef-de-voûte. Si la connaissance du monde et de sa structure constitue une facette essentielle de ses enseignements, il faut cependant rappeler que la cosmologie akbarienne n'est pas une connaissance du monde en tant que tel, mais c'est en réalité une connaissance de l'homme. Dernier être créé (āḫir mawjūd) par Dieu dans l'ordre de la création, récapitulant ainsi l'ensemble des strates du monde existenciées avant lui, l'homme est sans cesse décrit comme le compendium de ce monde (muḫtaṣar al-ʿālam) et un microcosme (ʿālam ṣaġīr).Articulée autour du symbolisme du Livre cosmique, la représentation akbarienne de l'homme en tant que microcosme est fondée sur le principe selon lequel l'être humain, en tant qu'il est un petit exemplaire (nusḫa ṣuġrā) réunissant l'ensemble des réalités du monde mais aussi des réalités divines, est relié à travers un dense réseau d'analogies au Livre de l'existence (kitāb al-wujūd), décrit quant à lui comme un grand exemplaire (nusḫa kubrā), voire comme un grand exemplaire du Coran (muṣḥaf kabīr). Cette recherche vise à porter l'éclairage sur les différentes modalités de ce rapport d'analogie qui relie l'homme au monde, mais aussi à la Révélation, l'homme étant également l'exemplaire de Dieu (nusḫat al-ḥaqq). The cosmological dimension of Ibn al-ʿArabī's (d. 638/1240) teachings is a phenomenon now well known to the specialists of the work of the master of Andalusian origin. Peppered with cosmological elements, his work outlines the stages of universal genesis in an organized totality and underpins the principles of a complex and difficult-to-access cosmological edifice, of which man, the ultimate end and raison d'être of the world, constitutes the keystone. If the knowledge of the world and its structure constitutes an essential facet of his teachings, it must however be remembered that Akbarian cosmology is not a knowledge of the world as such, but it is in fact a knowledge of man. The last being created (āḫir mawjūd) by God in the order of creation, thus recapitulating all the strata of the world existed before him, man is repeatedly described as the compendium of this world (muḫtaṣar al-ʿālam) and a microcosm (ʿālam ṣaġīr).Articulated around the symbolism of the Cosmic Book, the Akbarian representation of man as a microcosm is based on the principle that the human being, as a small exemplar (nusḫa ṣuġrā) gathering not only all cosmic realities but also divine realities, is connected through a dense network of analogies to the Book of Existence (kitāb al-wujūd), which in turn is described as a great copy (nusḫa kubrā), or even as a great copy of the…
