Abstract

Patient-generated health data (PGHD) are any health-related data generated by patients or persons involved in their care. This research explored Australian healthcare providers’ perceptions and experiences of using PGHD in their clinical practice. The integration of PGHD into routine clinical practice was an important area of focus that requires sophisticated technological infrastructure and financial incentives to support broader use of PGHD in clinical practice. The findings from this thesis offer actionable insights into optimising the use and integration of these data within clinical workflows of Australian healthcare providers when providing care to patients.
