Due to the pandemic that started more than a year ago, the work of teachers all over the world, as well as in Lithuania, changed abruptly. Well-established contact training was unexpectedly replaced by distance teaching. The work aims to show the consequences of a pandemic situation from the perspective of physics teachers in conducting distance physics teaching. The focus is on distance teaching tools and opportunities that teachers have been able to use after leaving their home with only limited technical resources. The method of quantitative research chosen for the research is the method of questionnaire survey. The survey was conducted among all Lithuanian Physics teachers by conducting an anonymous survey in which 86 respondents participated. The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of 0.902 was calculated in this study. The data obtained in this study revealed that most physics teachers mostly used free online resources, chose the right teaching formats for their work, and adapted to the current pandemic situation. The biggest problem I see is that physics teachers do not share the information gathered and there is no common information system for physics teachers to share demonstrations, applied and proven working methods, to advise each other. To improve the quality of distance teaching physics lessons, physics teachers differentiate tasks and the teaching process, organize independent teaching, and promote independent teaching. According to the questionnaire survey was set distance physics teaching problems and provide possible solutions. The biggest problem faced by physics teachers is that they simply lack knowledge of foreign languages and free access to online educational programs. Also, that physics teachers would like to use innovative methods in their teaching: virtual labs, mobile apps, simulation environments. It is recommended careful consideration of physics teaching job in distance physics teaching.
