Antirracismo e dissidência sexual e de gênero na educação em biologia: caminhos para uma didática decolonial e interseccional

Abstract: Decoloniality is a theoretical and political movement that emerged in the social sciences that has been pointing out and posing challenges in academic contexts, including educational ones. In the field of science education, including the teaching of science and biology, there is a didactic gap in the decolonial proposal, and it is necessary to explore the possibilities and limitations of decoloniality at the didactic level. On the other hand, in the field of science education, anti-racist approaches and gender and sexuality approaches have been gaining ground in research, although in the Colombian case these approaches are still timid. However, there are still few intersectional approaches between these two categories, which are usually studied separately. This research questions the intersection between anti-racist approaches and sexual and gender dissidence at the didactic level of biology teaching, in a decolonial perspective. With the main objective of planning, implementing and analyzing didactic proposals in the teaching of biology, in a Colombian school, based on anti-racist approaches and sexual and gender dissidence, and their intersections, for the construction of the foundations of a decolonial didactics. , the work was developed during the 2020 school year, crossed by the global contingency by COVID-19. Methodologically, the research is divided into three levels, namely: i). The level of the political background of the research, we address research and educational action as a process of infection, inspired by proposals from dissident subjects of sexual and gender norms in Latin America; ii). At the methodological level, we combine the construction of didactic proposals and the systematization of experiences; iii). At the level of the teaching and learning processes in the classroom, the work was inspired by the proposals of School Research and Science Teaching through Research, materialized in research projects developed with students in the sixth, seventh and eighth grades of education. elementary school in Bogotá, Colombia. Based on the projects carried out, we systematized the implementation of six didactic proposals, three of them based on anti-racist approaches, two based on approaches to sexual and gender dissidence, and one based on the intersection between both approaches. Projects linked to the teaching and learning of biology concepts, such as human food and nutrition, respiration and cell cytology, the endocrine system, menstruation and genetics. We defend that education in biology, especially in its didactic aspects, can be enriched in its political, methodological and conceptual elements with the proposal of decoloniality. At a didactic level, the decolonial proposal can be realized through the dialogue between anti-racist approaches and sexual and gender dissidence when biology concepts are worked on in the classroom.
