Δημοκρατικός δρόμος προς το σοσιαλισμό και σύγχρονος κοινοβουλευτισμός: επανεκτίμηση και προοπτικές της θεωρίας του Πουλαντζά για το μετασχηματισμό του αστικού κράτους

This dissertation studies the attempt of democracy turning into socialism, as communicated in the late theoretical assumptions of Nikos Poulantzas.Initially, the genealogy of the socialist transition and the democratic are presented in this study as part of Poulantzas’ theory. Starting from the Marxist acceptance and going through major elements which contributed in the development / consolidation of socialistic transition theory, Poulantzas' theoretical proposal of democracy will be presented as it is considered a landmark in the relevant bibliography.The thesis expands on all elements that make up Poulantzas’ theory of the democratic path, examining both the dismissal of the conventional model of socialistic transition, that is, the model of dualistic ascendancy, and a series of necessary pre-conditions that Poulantzas posits in order to attempt a democratic road. The role of Poulantzas’ theoretical breakthroughs has been discussed extensively. Our contribution will be to trace the origins of Poulantzas’ late position, and discuss how his theory differs from the dominant Eurocommunism.Finally, the nature and role of the authoritarian statism will be developed, as they signal a new phase of the bourgeois state, a state characterized by the decline of democracy, as described in detail by Poulantzas. Furthermore, the considerations of other thinkers on the bourgeois state will be cited in an attempt to critically complement Poulantzas’ theoretical assumptions on authoritarian statism.The present thesis will conclude through an evaluation of Poulantzas’ democratic path in today’s circumstances and the outline of a contemporary alternative of a democratic transition. Η διατριβή μελετά το εγχείρημα του δημοκρατικού δρόμου προς το σοσιαλισμό, όπως αυτό εκφράστηκε μέσα από τις ύστερες θεωρητικές παραδοχές του Νίκου Πουλαντζά.Αρχικά, παρουσιάζεται η γενεαλογία της θεωρίας της σοσιαλιστικής μετάβασης και του δημοκρατικού δρόμου ως τμήματος αυτής. Εκκινώντας από τις μαρξικές παραδοχές και διαμέσου όλων εκείνων των σημαντικών κόμβων, οι οποίοι διαδραμάτισαν σημαίνοντα ρόλο στην ανάπτυξη της θεωρίας της σοσιαλιστικής μετάβασης, θα καταλήξουμε στη θεωρητική πρόταση δημοκρατικού δρόμου του Νίκου Πουλαντζά, η οποία ακόμα και σήμερα αποτελεί ορόσημο στα πλαίσια της συναφούς βιβλιογραφίας.Στη συνέχεια μελετώνται εκτενώς όλα εκείνα τα συστατικά στοιχεία που συνθέτουν τον δημοκρατικό δρόμο του Πουλαντζά, εστιάζοντας τόσο στην απόρριψη του κυρίαρχου μοντέλου σοσιαλιστικής μετάβασης, αυτού της δυαδικής εξουσίας, όσο και σε μια σειρά προϋποθέσεων που θέτει ο ίδιος ο Πουλαντζάς, οι οποίες καθιστούν εφικτό, αν όχι αναγκαίο, το εγχείρημα του δημοκρατικού δρόμου. Προηγουμένως έχει αναλυθεί διεξοδικά ο ρόλος της θεωρητικής τομής στο έργο του Πουλαντζά, ζήτημα καθοριστικής σημασίας, αναφορικά με τους λόγους και τις αφετηρίες υιοθέτησης του δημοκρατικού δρόμου προς το σοσιαλισμό. Επιπροσθέτως, ανιχνεύονται οι καταβολές των θέσεων του ύστερου Πουλαντζά, ενώ διερευνάται και η διαφοροποίησή του από το κυρίαρχο ευρωκομμουνιστικό ρεύμα.Τέλος,…
