State terrorism, as a concept, has largely been operationalised out of terrorism literature. The Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) has engaged in such acts of violence against the Bahá’í community in that country. In this study, a working model of state terrorism is devised and the following central research question is addressed: do the strategy and tactics utilized ...

The efficiency of a probabilistic hydrological forecasting system with weather radar and the Probability distributed hydrological model (PDM) was evaluated at the Brue catchment; south-western England. The ability of the radar to measure gauged precipitation in 2007 (regarded as the ground truth) was evaluated using Normalized Bias (NB) and Normalized Error (NE) statistics as the objective function of evaluation. The radar overestimated precipitation measurements by average gauges with NB value of 0.41 and a considerably low NE of 0.68. Furthermore, the effectiveness of a Deterministic nowcas...

In this dissertation, I have presented a comprehensive research on Bitcoin. Bitcoin was introduced in 2009. This is a decentralized digital currency and works like cash, but they are mined like gold (Volastro, CNBC Explains: How to mine bitcoins on your own, 2014). In this thesis, I will explain that how this currency works and how users can mine Bitcoins. Bitcoins mining is a very hard process, it is almost impossible to create Bitcoins on simple computer. A diagnosis of cancer brings many changes to individuals’ lives, thus becoming part of their identity. Individuals who have cancer typically struggle when adjusting and accepting these changes (Blennerhassett, 2008; Yang, Staps, & Hijmans, 2010; Allen, Savadatti, & Levy, 2009; Lindwall & Bergbom, 2009; Lewis, 2008; Welsh & Guy, 2009; Frith, Harcourt, & Fussell, 2007; Hilton, Hunt, Emslie, Salinas, & Ziebland 2008). Furthermore, medical doctors place more emphasis on the symptoms and side effects individuals undergo rather than the person’s experience of the symptoms and side effects (Frank, 19...

Since the liberalization of U.S. immigration policy in 1965, the number of first and second-generation Indian doctors in the U.S. has grown to nearly seven percent of the nation's physician workforce; however, Indians constitute less than one percent of the total U.S. population. Overrepresented in one of America's most prestigious professions, Indians are more visible in U.S. medicine than in the U.S. at large. Previous scholarship in immigration research, Asian American St...
